Next Generation Consoles: The Xbox One and PS4 Both of the next gen consoles from Microsoft and Sony are impressive looking. With the PS4, Sony has moved away from the complicated cell architecture of the PS3 to a x86-64 processor to attract a broader range of developers and support. The PS4 is focused more on social gameplay, with a “share” button on the new controller and a new view of in-game play streaming live from friends.
