Global Skills for College Completion

Global Skills for College Completion

See the glossary of these themes.

Global Skills for College Completion (GSCC) is a 28-month project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as part of its post-secondary education investment in doubling the number of young adults in the U.S. with a postsecondary credential by 2020.
The project goal is to improve the historically low pass rates of basic skills students in U.S. colleges, which is a serious impediment to increasing college completion rates.
The goal is not to develop a single math and a single writing curriculum.  Rather, the goal is to uncover themes and patterns which, when well-executed by the faculty of any college, lead to measurably stronger student learning.
